    2002 SAN Stereo Replacement

My M455 got wet from a rainstorm and only works intermittent now so it looks like I need a new one. Any suggestions? I researched this site a little but was unable to find anything that would utilize the wired remote and would plug in to what I have behind the M455. Any ideas from the experts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Which wired remote do you have currently? And what other accessories do you have plugged in? I think any of the newer clarionsare backward compatible since they have the same accessory plug-in. You just need to make sure the head unit has the same wired remote plugin because most of the non-marine units do not have the wired accessory port. I have an alpine CDA-9886 but have not hooked up the wired remote (mc10) yet. It is light and day better quality than the clarion in my opinion and for the way I use my stereo. I don't think anyone that has upgraded to an alpine has been disappointed yet. Check and see if you can retro fit the alpine wired remote into your existing opening and I think you will be very happy with the upgrade. The new clarion m109 and m309 receivers look very nice too and should work with your existing remote. Give the guys at alpine a call with your remote model and they can tell you for sure
