    aktion/orlando water sports park questions?

looks like i am going to take a trip to orlando in the spring...i was just looking at the prices for the cable park...not cheap...their winter discounts will be over.

anyone have ideas on how to get a discount, tickets or anything?

what is difference between the basic and slider gear?

can you go back and forth between standard and advanced area...not really sure which one i will want to be in?

my friend says even doing 2 hours a day gonna be pretty tiring, cause a lot of swimming to the side. i was going to do 2 hours x 3 days in a row but maybe i just do 4 hours x 2 days, and take a long break in the middle. thoughts?

Slider gear allows you to hit the features (kickers and sliders). I don't think there are issues with switching parks but I've only ridden the standard cable and the boat there.

For the extra $10 I'd suggest doing the 4 hour. Try 4 hours the first day and then see how it goes or see if they allow upgrades If you start with a basic package. They were very chill when I went so I'd think they would allow it.

2 hours can be alot if you are riding non-stop but 4 hours gives you a little more freedom to take a break.

When I started Wakeboarding I'd spend all day at the park. It's a great way to progress. I never really did multiple days.

If you a have a flexible schedule, plan for 4 hours the first day and see how it goes from there.

Two years ago I signed up for lessons behind the boat. That fee included a full day at the park. I ended up using both my session and my wifes and was on the water for an hour. I was pretty exhausted after that and never took advantage of the cable side. If you want to take lessons from Shawn Murray, make sure you double check the calendar for his availability. I received lessons from someone else and they were good but I'd like to get lessons from the master himself.

I saw people going back and forth at that time from the Advanced/Basic side so there must be an option there. Best thing is probably to give them a call or email. Like Blamey said, they were pretty chill and easy to work with. We had a great time. Actually that whole experience prompted me to get the G23.

I spend a few weeks there a year with my son. Great place to visit and learn. You can definitely go back and forth between the beginner and the advanced lake. If you have any wakeboard experience you will be wanting to hit some of the features so make sure you get the slider gear. There are a number of easy features to hit on the beginner side but you might get board. I only wakeboard a few times a year and I'm comfortable on the advanced cable. Just need to be careful on a few features and work your way up.

My son is 14 and he gets full day passes and goes day after day with no problem. I normally will get a 4 hour pass and then break it up. Ride a while, rest, ride again, rest etc. Most days we are down there we see some pros so it can always be fun to stick around and watch.

Just go and have some fun. I think the boat sets are really overpriced, but they are over priced everywhere.

I did pretty much the same. Expect I spent about an hour on the cable before the boat session. I booked an hour in the boat and split it between Wakeboarding and Surfing.

While it also inspired me to buy a G23 my wallet didn't agree but about a month later I upgraded my Super Sport to a 2009 230.

Yep, OWC is lots of fun. I try to go every time I am in Orlando, but that doesn't always work. Once you have your cable pass, you can use either cable at any time. The beginner cable is a bigger path, but the advanced cable has way more features and runs faster. Both are fun, but like people have said above, the advanced cable is more fun.
