That sure beats sitting on a bucket, lmao. Right off my shore is a favorite spot for the ice fisherman, usually a handful of permanent shacks by now but we have had a somewhat mild winter so far, ice is only about 8" thick. Our average ice is typically around 18"-24".

Back when I lived in the Netherlands I played waterpolo which kept me busy and in shape in the winter. I do miss waterpolo, I do NOT miss winters.
