Stuck In California

Unfortunately I'm stuck here. I would look at North Carolina Southern Virginia I don't know much about Alabama and Arkansas. West Texas is also supposed to be beautiful in the hill country.

My Family is thinking of moving out of CA and I am completly confused on where to go.
Can you fellow boaters show some photos of your lake front homes and tell me how you feel about living there? I am an electrical/general contractor who whants out on Califoriia!!! I want a lake home.
