HELP: Wakeboards for Kids under 10

Last summer we got both our girls (6 and 8) up on skis behind the 226 and the 8 year old got up on my wakeboard...hilarious but it got them hooked and they've been asking for a board since that day.. We are going to get them a wakeboard for Christmas. Ideally it will last them until they are mid-teens.

What advice do you have on brands, size, bindings etc?

Where should we buy it? (we are located in Toronto, Canada, but i'm in the US all the time so US ship to US only would be ok)

Thanks for helping us grow the next generation of wake boarders!

Not sure where in the states you go but if you're in the Detroit metro area there's a 127" youth board listed in Walled Lake for $50 but with no bindings. Still cheaper than buying new and you know with how fast kids go this will most likely be a couple year board until they out grow it.....

We bought a Ronix Vision 120 setup. My seven year old is already catching a tiny bit of air, and I suspect the board will last us a decade or so, even if the bindings don’t.

A Ronix Vison 120 setup would be a great combo. Its been the same build/style forever and is just a scaled down version of their Vault board. The girls version is the August. For boots get the 5-8.5. (The 2-6 are for toddlers) That will get them to maybe 13 before 1 sizes out of the boots. We have an older August board that our group of JK to grade 5 boys all ride.

It's a great setup, but your at $800 for a fresh kids board. You will get a good block of time out of it (if they really like to board) but if you just follow around on marketplace you can find some deals. Our original girls August was a $150 score one spring. It was pink and a bit scrappy but they all ripped on it. We also just grabbed a 2 season old unused Vison 120 with boots for $250CAD on FB this season. There wont be much locally around, but if your up for a for a drive to cottage country you can get a great deal.

If you haven't been to Northline Sports you should stop it. If you don't see boards on the floor just ask them what they have I'm not sure when 2026 colours will ship out. Old stock will get discounted as soon as 26 is available. They also have gear swaps, but wont have another water one till the spring. Or just wait till the boat show.

Lots of other Canadian suppliers will ship for $40 if they happen to have stock remaining:
