For me the board needs to work like this:

    - Allow for back foot or front foot pressure. Eg Carves up a turn on the front foot. I don't want to be on my back leg all the time that is nuts.
    - Speed control, which is a big part of wakesurfing. The board needs to follow the boat neutral stance. Front drive forward, rear foot & hold up.
    - Pump recovery: the rocker has to support pump recoveries way off the back of the boat
    - Light, agile with handling/control that speaks to me
    - Doesn't do anything weird.

So far our little 4' Triple XXX board is a good one, but too small for me. It's great for my daughter 5'5"
Liquid force foamie is a nice shape, but dead slow, so has a short window and hard to recover
Airhead Bonazi isn't bad either but lacks speed control. It's fast but doesn't recover well and is a bit greasy
Ronix Atlantix has handling issues, is 90% back-foot (or look out) and doesn't recover well either. Disappointing for how it looks.

My last ride was 6' Aftanas.ca board shaped here in Tofino by a legendary shaper. I tossed in one ballast bag.
My buddy driving circles out on the lake couldn't shake me. It did all of the above and silky has heck.

I'm kinda miffed, that I bought all the wake-junk.
