I've never tried a skim style board but currently have a Slingshot Cobra Cat and like it quite a bit. Just wondering if anyone has tried a Slingshot Butter Bar and if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks.

We use one for our Beginner/Intermediate surfers. It's easy to get up on. It tracks well and is easy to keep in the pocket. It isn't nearly as slippery as the Keen we use for Intermediate/Advanced riders.
The Butter Bar isn't very expensive either.

Thank you, Charles! I would consider myself an intermediate rider, at least on a surf style board. Would you recommend the Butter Bar or to go with something a bit more "slippery" that I can grow into? Thanks.

Recommendations are extremely difficult. I obviously haven't seen you surf nor do I know what the wake looks like behind your boat. So instead of recommending a board I'll do this instead:
- Start a FB group or something for riders in your area. We have one called NCWakeLife here. As people join, go out and meet them. Ride their boards. Let them ride yours. Get a feel for what kind of board you like for your style and wake.
This is by far the best way to find the right board for you. I know this really isn't the answer you were looking for, but I most certainly don't want to endorse some board and have you end up hating it.

I respect the stance you're taking. I'm definitely not the type of person who would bad mouth you for recommending a product that I end up disliking. None the less, thank you for your input in my current threads, it is definitely appreciated. Take care.

I also ride the black pearl .
Both great boards . The pro shuv a little more slippery but great control . I can literally Ollie it now .
The Keenan board is great as well . Rode it last weekend
The Keenan 2015 board was my all time favorite . It got stolen last summer . If you can find one I highly recommend it
