Yeti Retrofit on new 2015 SAN 230

Ok, so after our family's first weekend on the lake with our 230, we have determined that the $35 soft cooler is the only weakness of this boat. I have spent the week thinking about our options, and i would like to run this by everyone to see if anyone has done this yet, or what your opinions are of this as an option.
    1. i am going to remove the cushion from the walkthrough
    2. install the yeti tie-down kit on the sides of the sneaked
    3. place the yeti 25 in the space of the walkthrough
    4. install a seadek padding on the top of the yeti

Mine did the same thing. Call Igloo customer service and they should replace the soft sided cooler under warranty. In fact I sent them photos of mine that tore in the same place was able to keep the old cooler as well. The new/ replacement cooler was minus the Nautique Logo.

Seems like a convenient location. I just wonder if that's gonna be a problem when trying to step down off of it. That's a big step to take when you're tired unless you want to step on your upholstery. Also, if you have a strap down kit, how hard is it to open the hatch to pull the drain plug?

Agree that is a huge step down and up. I would bet even if stepped on they will step over to seat and then down to floor. I would ....... but I am an old dude!!

those are definitely considerations I have as well. I don't have an answer yet, but I am going to probably place the cooler there without the straps for a few times out, just to see before I put 4 screw holes in the floor, even though it would be in an inconspicuous area. but, I could even put this cooler in the boat and it would look very similar with the seadek sticker on the top. it appears to be very similar to the existing seadek flooring. I will take a picture of it on the boat and post tonight or tomorrow

also, after brainstorming this extensively, a super cool idea would be to simply just screw the rubber stoppers into the bottom of the cooler so it snaps into place at the same spot as the seat cushion. unfortunately, this will not allow the cooler to sit on any flat surface with this rubber stoppers on the bottom of it.

Here is how I mounted my yeti. It actually gives us a great seat to put on boards. I will say you can no longer use the lower ski pylon on my 230 though. We only use the tower mount so it hasn't been an issue. I am going to put sea dek on the lid as a next project. Thanks.

yeah, I saw that. its super cool. I might go with this option, as I don't have as much nervousness screwing into my platform as my boat

what the **** is wrong with this website where the pics always come out sideways

Quick question? I don't even see a yeti 25 to buy? It is not on their website. Btw- My new RTIC soft 40 fits like a champ under the seat. I will get a pic of it later and post it.

kdcdds You should read this thread about picture orientation. It explains why your pictures are posting like that.
