THe ski weights are great! My ski buddy's little girl is maybe 45-50lbs soaking wet, and it took someone in the water to keep her ski's in place. He purchased a set and now his wife doesnt have to hold her in the water any more. Well worth the money.

I created a couple of sites that only concentrate on getting people up and going in world class form without falling, if you guys are interested. You get 5 free videos at each of these sites. Let me know if they are helpful;Originally posted by DanielCA training boom, or bare foot boom is also a great help with teaching beginning skiers. Young light kids do not need much speed at all. maybe 10 or 12 miles per hour. I have had some light girls on our water ski team skiing with my boat at an idle.

Re: RE: combo ski question
Update - I bought the weights and put them on the HO trainers. 6-year old Madison got up on the first try and survived two double-ups. I was the hero of the day!Originally posted by NCH2oSkiHO makes a weight set that attaches on the top of the ski over the fin. It sinks the back of the ski and makes it easy for a child to hold the skis in the correct possition. They work great, and keep you from having to get into the water to help with the over bouyant skis. Search the HO site and you'll find them.
The only snag... no camera!
Hopefully we'll get another trip in before end of season and get some pics posted.
Thanks to everyone that helped with advice.
