I know, all stock standard, nothing modified.Fire Dept says possible short circuit with no evidence of foul play.BTW , it burned on its trailer.I have just written to CEO Bill Yeargin and i await his reply.

I am feeling really sad to see all your beautiful boats when mine had burned to bare hull afew days before Christmas.
So far , Correct Craft isnt even offering a helping hand , and their reply from Ron Nace, their Customer Care Manager is " Sorry , we can't help you"

I am sorry for your loss, but I would expect CC to do nothing to help you, unless they're just being nice of course. If my Ford pick-up truck caught fire as a result of a short, I wouldn't run back to Ford trying to get a new truck. I would collect from my insurance company and buy another vehicle.

Unfortunately, I think you've learned a very expensive lesson here...buy insurance and don't assume the risk yourself unless you can truly absorb it.

WOW!! I cant belive you didnt have insurance. Its only like 400 per year. I hate to hear that. However Correct Craft will not help you out in anyway shape or form on this issue. I wish you best of luck.

WOW we really hijacked ths blog. We should switch topics to the correct blog. Ok that being said, I asked the question about cc not doing anything, because Ron Hess is a outstanding CC employee. I have had a lot of positive interaction with him and he is every bit as good as Jeff Warner when it comes to customer interaction. I agree with MHAYES, but if CC does work something out with you, I would hope it would stay between you and CC JMO.

I don't mean to be negitive and I wish you all the luck in the world on you getting a new boat. Where are you located?

I agree and its my fault for not getting insurance on time( it was meant to start 1st Jan 2008) and.....sorry for hijacking this blog..the orange and lime green boats in this thread are just so great looking....
The guy in CC is Ron Nace not Hess btw.
My boat is techically still within the warranty period, and it was in its 6th week of "commercial service" so to speak.This commercial service, is about 5 hrs per weekend.CC says since the boat was used commercially, even for so little hours, warranty is void.thats all.
Guys, we all love Nautiques and i still have 3 older ones.I only wished for some help, perhaps even a spare hull cos my engine looks fine, just black residue on top and afew melted belts.
At the end of the day, i wish for a new 230 soon.If i have to , i will still get one, just later , not sooner.

oh , and btw, i am in Malaysia.Weather extremely humid all year round, like the Florida Keys, which i had a chance to visit last summer.You guys have a beautiful country and especially for toy lovers( cars and boats).
I hope to retire in SoCal one day , or maybe Florida so that my kids can have a decent education, and i can drive some serious automobiles.

Back to the topic..... no names on our Nautiques.. I call mine Ski , Sport and Super Air( when it was around)
