Definitely a nice looking boat. And that does look like the lot at Buxton.

My local dealer can always spot Dorsey trailers set up for Buxton. They say the bow stops are angled inward. That said, that boat looks a little far forward to be on a trailer originally ordered from Buxton.

This is a Dorsey trailer ordered by Buxton that just barely fits in the garage. See how far in the stops are. Assuming that's a Buxton ordered trailer, I'm wondering if they've changed the way they order the bow stop setup from Dorsey.

If you're talking about mine, I think it's from Dallas Canvas & Boat Tops. I'd need to double check that though. It has a few spots that need some work.

You guys know your dealerships. I bought the boat from Buxton. I live in the Houston area. I have been riding Lake Conroe but I think I am going to try the Trinty River in search of some smoother water.

The original owner kept the boat in a hoist. He did not buy the trailer till 2005 (the boat is a 2003). Buxton said that trailer was, "what they had in stock when the original owner needed a trailer." It gets the boat up and down the road. I was thinking a paint job would be a good winter project.

The bimini was custom built in Dallas. I didn't get the name of the builder but it is nice. It prvides lots of shade. The boat has a kicking stereo also. Check out the sub and box under the helm. The Boss tower speakers withthe JL amp are the clearest sounding speakers I have heard.

              Good Times!

I'm a big fan of the Dorsey trailers and am very pleased with how mine tows. Plus, Dorsey's customer service is top notch. I think the only disadvantage to the way Buxton ordered my trailer is the seemed added length. But, it fits, so I can't complain. I may get a folding tongue put on it at some point, but that would involve getting a new jack stand and a fairly large amount of welding on my dealer's part. So for now, I've got bigger fish to fry I think.

LOL you can always spot the overpass by their place. I talked to phil yesterday and he said that the new rail starion will be there and they are going to have to move. I'll be there sat morning to order the new TOY.

I worked with Phil as well. Bought it sight unseen. It was everthing he said it was. When I asked for help with my gateway box he was all over it. He and Buxton get a big thumbs up from me.

My trailer is doing something very funny. As I approach a stop, just before I come to a complete stop it feels like the brakes begin to grab and make the trailer bounce wildly. It shakes the whole tow vehicle (F250). The bouncing comes and goes. Sometimes it's really bad sometimes not at all.

I have drum brakes. Any idea what causes the bouncing? How to fix?

                    Thanks.

sounds like one wheel is "grabing" and trying to lock up. Can you tell if it is locking up?? If so you might want to back off the adjustment on that wheel.

I've heard of some of the MC trailers doing this when they are being pulled unloaded. I can feel mine grab, but it doesn't shake or bounce. Call Dorsey and see if they have any ideas.

Thanks for the link. I sent the parts and service team an email. How do I back off the adjustment on the wheel?

                            Nice ride Haulin'

I used to live in Kingwood, TX... not sure where you are from in the area but the upper and lower San Jacinto River are good for riding... I alway put in at Loves Marina in Crosby for the lower (ride between I45 and up to the lake houston dam) and the Kingwood launch at the end of woodland hills drive (it is posted that you need a kingwood sticker but I launched there for 2 years and never had an issue, good riding between hwy 59 and kingwood drive bridges)

Thanks for the tip. Is there any shallow water to be concerned with in the upper or the lower? I am guessing the lower is brackish?
