    updated 1999 Super Air

I bought this boat in Dec and posted it up. Here are a few pics with some upgrades. I put new board racks on, added auto front ballast, put in all new pumps and hoses for ballast, and installed tower speaks with sub.

Awesome! Looks great. All you need now is a Bimini

I also noticed that you took the ski pole out of the middle, have you found any cap or anything to put into or over it? I am going to take my ski pole out and am currently looking for a cap to cover up the hole that it leaves in the ground.

Also, when you say 'front ballast' did you install another under-bow bag, or do you mean you installed the locker sac? If it is the former, what brand/model did you go with - I've been toying with the idea of adding more weight under the playpen through the autom. ballast.

I have to say though that I love those old school SAN graphics.

Yeah just added the locker sack. I put 500lb in the locker. I am going to break down and order the pop products to put in the bow. I am going order the 400lb set up and spread it out. Currently I am running stock in the rear(400lb)+ski locker(500)=900lb. I replaced the stock pumps with adwood? pumps. I did ad a third for the ski locker. I had to replace the pumps because they were busted. Last I changed all the hoses because the stock were so small. I went with 1 1/4 hoses.

The pop products looks like a pretty good deal because they are small and can move around. I am going to do that becase I dont want drill on my boat anymore.

So what brand of sack and which model did you use in the ski locker? We have a 2001 Air and I would like to add some weight there, in addition to the stock ballast.

It is a launch pad. I had it from my old direct drive. I have heard that the fly high pro x are better. But this will work for me for now. Once it gets warmer I will play with ballast a little more. I just wanted to get it plumed during off season.

Yes, I heard that the Fly High sacs are better due to the fact that they use the same material as that used to make river rafts. They claim that they are puncture and abrasion resistant.

I've always been impressed with Fly High (B.I.'s) stuff, especially the new material that they are using for making their fat sacs - I've heard that it it the same material that they use to make river rafts out of (don't know if it's true or not, but the material looks/feels very resilient) .

One other nice feature that they use now is they make them in the cubed forms, so the sacs don't roll or twist over the fill ports.

The cap: Go to a good furniture store and ask them for a desk plug in that diameter. The diameter is identicle to that of a bud light can in case you can't get to your boat to measure. The plastic ones you get at Office Depot wont work, you will need a good quality steel one. I got one for my 1995 super sport and it worked fine.

I absolutley love those graphics, too! Very sharp!!

Great work on the ballast. Did you locate the sub in the kick panel area, or is it somewhere else?

The Sub is underneath the seat. I lost a little storage but the bump will be worth it. Now I installed the 2 amps behind the kick panel, so you cant see them.

Thanks for all the comments on my boat. At one time I was going to put the newer AIR decals on but these are growing on me. I am so ready to start riding!
