I'm Back Baby! - Boat #11 is a GS22

Though we loved our first two boats, a 2007 and 2009 Nautique 210, I spent over 10 years in various Malibu and Axis products while running Ridebutter Wakeboard School. I don't coach anymore and we use the boat just for our family of 4 and inviting some friends. I grew up doing more than wakeboarding and surfing. I like to ski, barefoot, and goof around on the water. Heck, I have even rode a cooler lid before! I want to share those experiences with with my 11yo and 13yo.

This boat just fit the bill all around and we are very excited to get her in the water soon. Please meet "Eleven" a 2019 GS22 in Masters Blue Metalflake. Wakemakers bags arrived at the house the same day I picked this up from The Boat House. Shout out to Eric for all the help in getting this boat just the way we needed it.

Looks great! How does the Rivian do towing it?

Thanks Jeff! It moved it around the driveway just fine. I haven’t had it out on the road yet. I flew to Chicago and rented a truck to tow it back on Wednesday.

The Rivian weighs 1000# more than a Yukon XL, and has 800 ft/lb of torque so I’m expecting good things,

I'll be curious about the Rivian, too, as it's on my list. My main concern is distance per charge when towing.

Thanks MN Ryan ! The regular range is nearly 400 miles (410 advertised). if I get over 200 miles towing, I will be very impressed. Luckily we rarely tow long distance, but tow ~40 miles round trip every time we take the boat out.

I had the Ford Lightning EV before this and got 50% range towing. The motors on the Rivian are much better, so I am hoping to see some relative efficiency gains.

Yeah, that's my concern because we have a cabin that's about 100 miles each way.
