Hi, the lakes open in March but for the brave or crazy I think. I imagine we will run mid May to mid September and a good wetsuit will feature for a good part of it start and finish. We will go on in March as my son and I both need to do a ski boat driver qualification which is sensibly mandatory at our club. Then we wait for sun

Dang, you're going to have a practically new boat. That's exciting! What's your boating season over there--I know you mentioned getting on the water in March/April, but how long does it extend? What kind of water temps do you see?

A little update guys……she's been at the upholsterers for 2 weeks so not far off now, I will have some sample pics from them next week, but the attached one shows the plain white, textured white, grey and carbon black combo of fabric. When it comes out, I will refit the fully renovated and powder coated tower speakers and Sea-Dek will visit to fit the new grey Sea-Dek (although not in the storage areas yet as trying to keep cost under some control). Also purchased replacement board racks…black Triton V2's…holy $%@* are they expensive!!!! Also had all non-working lights replaced, trailer lights replaced where non-functional, found the correct waste bin that was missing, new impellers on all ballast tanks, bimini repaired and refreshed plus a few other jobs. Midland Nautique UK have been fabulous and I am getting them to repair and gelcoat a crack in the swim deck (yes, I'm new to towing and especially reversing ) and I would like the windshield surround painting at some point. Basically, what was a cheap G23 is turning out not to be, but when done, I know she's A1 and we will so enjoy it for a number of years. My first boat and even though it's not on the water yet I'm already hooked and excited for 2024.

Sure the boat is sweet, but look at that background on the lake! Nice and nice!

That does look beast behind the Rover, but I know they have the juevos.
You are in the 60's there and rain, that kind of takes the wind out of the sails.
Anxious to see the before and after pictures...

Thanks Both. I'm here in central UK and I purchased the boat from Scotland so it was a 700+ mile round trip to collect it. The boat was located and pictured on the north tip of Loch Lomond, which is a 23 mile long lake (largest in the UK) and the winding twisty roads around it were build a 100 years ago I guess. As you can imagine, navigating these to get on my way was a complete baptism of fire for someone who had never towed before and I cant believe how small it makes my full size Range Rover look! So it's off to the trimmers soon for new interior (seats, cards etc) and Sea-Dek, then a few minor jobs and touch up before going into storage since we are heading into winter quite quickly here. I can then look forward to getting it on the water around March/April time 2024……..I can't wait.

I'm a very proud new owner of this 2013 G23. It's my first ever boat so I have so much to learn and I'm pleased to have this forum at hand, already answered some questions. I have given it a thorough clean and soon it's off to get retried and new sea-dek . I am super proud….I know there are newer boats etc but to me this is the realisation of a dream
