I know 230s don't get a lot of love here but I really like them. This is my 2nd. The boat is heavily optioned. I still maintain that the 230 surfs fantastic. The wake isn’t as tall as the G23, but it’s much longer.

Congrats! Love the color combo. Its the same color as my boat, except I went with mocha Sea Dek.

So the decision to sell the 2017 230 and get a 2019 wasn't any one, big reason. Instead it was a series of smaller ones:
- The dashboard. In 2018, Nautique ended the LINC 2.0 and went to LINC Panoray for everything, including the 230. The LINC 2.0 was OK, everything was there, but it was clunky to get around using all hard buttons. The Panoray touchscreen with the rotary control knob and hard buttons has made this much, much easier.
- The Hydrogate lever. Worked fine, but again, clunky. As soon as you dropped off to pick up your surfer, it would go back to zero. Had to remember to move it every time if you wanted something other than zero. Plus I couldn't control it with the Pebble.
- The infamous Polk PA4A headunit. I learned to live with it, but it was not wonderful. It had a poor Bluetooth system in it. It would easily get disconnected and refuse to reconnect without a power-off, power-on. I could have replaced it with the JL but it would have been around $1000 to do that.
- I wanted heated seats. I could have retrofitted them but then I'm putting money into that boat.
- The tower speakers. They were Focal/Roswell Marines. I just didn't really love them. Again, I could have swapped them for JLs...
- Paddle-wheel supplement for Zero Off. This wasn't available in 2017. We surf in current fairly often so this will be a HUGE help.
There were a few other small issues. The new boat came with all USB outlets instead of cigarette plugs. Things like that.
It finally came down to deciding if I wanted to put more money into my 2017 (which wouldn't fix all of the things I didn't like) or just sell it and order a new one.

Hey Charles, Nautique will be building a GS22 for us in the next month or so and I was reading your reasons for upgrading to a 2012. I found the paddle wheel reason interesting. I have a 2012 210 with River Mode, which I always found to be useless in any kind of current. Have you had a chance to use the new paddle wheel feature and compare this to the 2017 and earlier version?
