My first Nautique!!!

2017 SAN 230
Just picked my new 230. Maiden voyage was fun (just running around the lake). I will post some observations as a long time Malibu owner after I get some more time on the water.

Johnny_rock: They are VERY different boats. My kids both learned to ride behind the 'BU so there are memories that I just won't have in the Nautique. Give me a few weeks in the 230 to give a fair opinion.

Just got off the lake. Here are some general impressions. Very early going here.

LSV pros:
- LSV Is quite a bit roomier and has more storage than the 230.
- LSV is a lot quieter and has less driveline vibration. Much more 'luxury' feeling.
- Unloaded (no ballast, wakeplate up) the LSV Is more responsive both steering and throttle.
- passenger seating is more comfortable

230 pros:
- 230 handles MUCH better loaded.
- 230 is easier to drive when actually towing someone.
- 230 Linc is great. I like it better than the Malibu screens.
- less carpet to get wet.
- surf pipe standard
- I prefer the 230 tower. More unobtrusive.
- Bimini is great.
- walk thru transom
- 230 slow speed handling a bit more sluggish


230 is a great boat but so is the Malibu. I am very happy with my 230 so far.

Why do you feel the Malibu is more comfortable?

Is the spaciousness of the Malibu due to the bow being pushed so far forward?

Seriously. I can't stand the carpet on the LSVs....why????
