    Gs22

Here's the latest addition to the family. The proud parents took delivery on 3/21, she weighed 4700 lbs, and measured 22' (24' fully stretched, with the platform). Click image for larger version

      Mike,

Congrats on the awesome new boat!

I just looked over and confirmed the purchase order on my GS20 with Cori at Marinemax yesterday. The spray date is 4/4 and completion date is 4/17.

      I'm starting to get excited.

I was a little anxious, fortunately Cori is very cool and didn't seem to mind my over enthusiasm to get the new boat.

We did a factory tour while the boat was in production, well worth the time and effort to see it. Plus you get a feeling for the people and how the company is run, if you read NautiqueJeff's link to the Industry Today article, you'll see what they are talking about in action.

So far the only problem I have encountered with the boat is the Boatmate trailer - seems the bunks are too low (or the prop guard too high - same result) the prop hits the prop guard - they sent a quick fix but I don't know what the end result will be, but I know the shims are not the answer, right now I have less than a quarter of an inch between the prop and the guard. Hopefully they'll have that figured out for the 22 before you get yours.

Congrats on the new boat, she looks great! Curious on your trailer, did you order it as a "low clearance" set up? My 230 sits above the fenders on our Boatmate trailer, looks like your's is between the fenders. Maybe it's actually a G series trailer, and not a GS?

Miljack, No, it's a GS trailer, the GS has a more narrow beam so it can sit between normal width tires, if you get wide rims the 20's I've seen sit above the fenders. Part of the selling point of the GS series is that they will fit in a normal garage. I'm not worried about it, boatmate stands behind their products, so I'm certain it will be taken care of.

                    Mike,

It does not matter if the gap is 1/16 inch or 4 inches. It still cant hit. As long as there is a gap you will be fine. Only thing to consider is if the bunk carpet wears and you loose that gap if its that close. If there is any space at all , it is impossible for the prop to hit the guard.

Mine is very close. When I travel , I always turn the prop so a blade is not facing down, just in case i would bend the guard , the prop would not be bent too.

Yeah, but mine is sitting on shims under the bunk to get that clearance - not a permanent solution.

Very nice! Very envious too. I don't get to put my 230 in until late April when it gets delivered. See you at SML!

Mike - love the look for your new GS22 - would very much like to catch up with you as I am considering a GS22 as well and am here in Johns Creek. Will PM you with my cell if you are open to sharing your feedback on the boat over the phone. I currently have a 2008 SN 206 as I slalom as do my kids but am now more interested in getting my kids into all three sports - and me into wake surfing. Am guessing you are on Lanier?
                            Thanks!

How are you liking this boat so far? I'm looking at getting one, and am curious about the surf wake...any input
