Yeah the mechanic/dealership has had a couple of cracks at it now, definitely sitting better now ( bit further forward) Its a tricky one I guess unlike the standard bimini because theres not really anything to line things up with on the tower just by eye basically.

I would love to see a pic of your surf wake and how you set it up. Thanks.

Does that cover extend down around the bow? Protection while towing? Is it custom?

I believe it is a factory cover, Its called a towing bra and its lined with soft material so as it is designed for towing so there's no rubbing on the hull.
Although I wish it was a little longer even to the fins under the hull would be perfect because we have still gained some tiny marks from rocks flicking up on the hull.

That's nice to know....I may have to look into that. Wonder if there's anything made for a G23?! I have a lifted truck with 37x13.50 toyo tires that like to throw a low of junk and would love some extra protection on the front of the boat while towing.....

Have you thought of putting a towing flap on the truck? Might be at least a temporary solution. Kinda like this: http://rockstop.ca/

Or even better, both options bra on the boat and the towing flap?

Seen those....refuse to use! Those things are hideous! I could have a shop make something custom that attaches to the boat and trailer that would look a lot better. I could actually probably fab it myself!

They certainly make them for the G's and in my opinion far more effective then the 230 because the bra nearly gets to full width of the hull due to the G's shape. Secondary to that there is also netting options on the underside of the trailer.
Most Aussie roads are pretty hopeless for rocks and stones and large amount of boats here spend a bit of time getting towed.
Rock tamers are probably more effective on a raised truck, but if the hit the road going over bumps or undulations they'll throw up rocks as well.

Hmmm....I may have to get in touch with Nautique Central and see what it would cost to get one and have it shipped to the US!

The cover was somewhere around $800 AUD for the 230. Can't see postage on something that size and weight being much above $100 AUD 👍🏼

Man, that cover, covers a huge portion of the bow, mine (2014) doesn't wrap that far down, how difficult is it to put that cover on, I assume you pull the boat on the trailer with just enough room for the cover, then crank it up once the cover is on?

Also, does the 'Nautique' lettering light up on the trailer? Mine do, but it is in front of wheel well, not so far forward, didn't know if yours did as well.

Cover goes on after the boats on the trailer as per normal. Takes barely a minute to get it fitted with one person. From the bow stop on the trailer/bow eye down is a big strip of velcro down the centre the cover has five other clips that pull it all tight and the normal tower up cover simply goes over the top 👍🏼

Yep there's an led strip just in front of the wheel arches on each side as well.

                              Hey Guys,

Yeah the Front Lower Cover, is a Towing Bra that the Nautique Central Dealerships, QLD and NSW get custom made for the boats over here.

So to answer a few questions, NO they aren't a factory option, Nautique Central just use a local Upholstery Company in QLD and NSW. As per JV92 has said, they simply go on the boat, when it is back on the trailer, 2 of the top clips connect to the pull up cleats in the bow, and the other 2 clips go around the trailer to hold it down.

Then they also do a trampoline type material on the bottom of the trailer as well.

It is funny though, that the 2 different dealers, to how different the towing bra covers are to each other. As JV has said, the QLD guys use velcro along the bottom of the V in the hull to hold it together, here is NSW we have a zipper on it. Also the QLD ones have a lot smaller and thinner straps, while NSW is a lot thicker, more like a seat belt in a car, with big heavy duty clips.

Overall they is it the best cover option out there, super easy to put on, and protects the boat nice, however I would also like my one to be a bit longer as well, having 33x12.5R20 tyres on my little ute haha over here in Australia, also likes to throw rocks at the 210, down our crappy roads in Aus.

But yep, the cover does its job nice, and takes about a minute for one person to put on. Cheering.

Also JV92, your boat is very nice on the water, I seen you guys cruising around over the weekend up at Grafton for QLD NOR2016. I came up with the Nautique Central NSW crew, and was in the demo blue 230 all weekend. Was a good fun event, I should have said hi and jump in with you guys for a bit.

                              Cheers
