My super clean '03 Air 206 Limited

Been on the site for a few months, but just picked up my first Nautique last month! It's an '03 Air 206 Limited, in amazing shape! I had searched for months trying to find not only something in my price range and in decent shape, needless to say I knew this was the one the first time I saw her.

First pic was the day I picked it up, remainder are pics I took once I got her home. I did zero detailing other than some 303, helps to show how well maintained this boat was! Btw, only 365 hrs!

Looks like the Lloyd 206, very nice, another member here inspected it for a neighbor of mine who is a never ending 206 window shopper, lol.

    Anyways, looks great and Enjoy!!

Very nice! I also traded up to a 206 from a 196. Gave up a little bit in terms of ski wake, but love the extra room and versatility. Enjoy!

Nice! I love my 206 (same year). Give your storage hatch release a quick lube with some lubricating oil. When you open the hatch, you will see a small black plastic cover over the latch release. Two screws remove the cover and then from there, you can see where to lube it. These latches can be an issue and are known to release by accident. Keep it clean and lubed and you will not have any issues.

great advice! Previous owner knew that this was a "problem" over time and had a custom piece machined for the rear latch. Makes the latch work much smoother and consistent!

Here are a few other things I did to my 03:

                      1) Replaced the 'U' shaped hose that connects the thermostat housing to the circulating pump. In 04, PCM changed that motor to a serpentine belt system and the 'U' shaped hose was replaced with a pipe. This pipe includes a drain fitting, so you can make sure the water is out for the winter (instead of pulling this hose off). I use the quick drain fittings, so this was a must for me. Here is an image from google; look at the red pipe: https://www.google.com/search?q=pcm+...07%3B175%3B222

                      2) My raw water pump was in a batch that was part of a recall. The only way to tell was to look at the numbers stamped on the back plate. Check the recall and notices section of this forum.

                      3) Ballast valves controlled from the helm were replaced with updated ones from Correct Craft. Again, check the recall and notices section of this forum.

My tower is not wired for lights or speaker either and I have not installed any since the 'family' [aka wife] is happy with the way it is and has been. I'll get there one day. If we were closer, I'd say let's drill and wire them over the winter...

Thanks for all the advice! I'll definitely look into everything mentioned, tower speakers are definitely in my future. Going to try and replace the in boat speakers this off season with an amp as well. Maybe next off season try for towers speakers.
