Just completed my custom graphics and tint on my 2009 216V
Forgot to post the "before" graphics.
The first pic is how I bought the boat with the "swirl" graphics.
The second pic is when I removed the swirls and left the chromax "Air Nautique" letters. It still didn't have enough attitude so I stripped it all off and went with one of the graphic options from a 2011+ Nautique 236V and added some custom red accents to make it pop a little more.
Thank you, I am happy with the end result. No, I didn't do the window tint. I had one of my customers, car stereo/custom automotive shop, do it for me. They said it was a pain to do and that they had to retint a couple of window sections because of the aggressive curvature of the windshield. I went with 27% tint. Looks good during the day and not too dark during dusk.
My next planned upgrades to the boat is to replace all the interior carpet with SeaDek, Roswell tower light bar(s), and possibly replace the OE polk sub with a JL audio infinite baffle sub.
2009 - I have the same boat as yours. We got it in late April this year. Really enjoying it. Previous owner removed the diamond graphics and it just has the Chrommax "Air Nautique". I love the look of that graphic you added. Where did you get that and do you think it can be added around the "Air Nautique" on my boat or would I have to remove that and reapply a new name badge?
I am also looking at Seadekking mine. I got the material from Zack at N3 to template the boat but have not gotten around to it since we have opted to enjoy the boat rather than work on it. I hope to get the templates done in the fall so the Seadek is on and ready for next year. My understanding is once it is templated other can use the same template. Maybe you can piggyback off mine
Ironically I spoke to Zach at N3 and he said he was working with somebody on the same boat in regards to a template, Small world. Please keep me posted with the progress. Zach had mentioned to me that with the current SeaDek kit we would not be able to remove the center piece in the floor without cutting the SeaDek, is that correct?
As far as the decal, I bet you would have to remove the chromax logos because the placement of them is likely going to be different. That was the case with my swirl graphics. I would assume it would be the same for the diamond graphics but I am not 100%.
The kit I used is one of the options that correct craft used from 2011+ on models 200, 226, etc. I purchased the parts from Orlando Nautiques.
I have always beaches every boat I have. I just make sure to only beach it where the water level/depth drops quickly from the shore to allow clearance for the fins, prop, rudder, etc. I also will only beach it on sand, no hard ground with shells, etc. at the end of the day, beaching is probably not the best thing for any boat but I feel that if done properly it won't do any major damage to the boat IMO.
