So where is your 'old' barefoot? hmmm?
Got around to starting a little bit of assembling this mess of wiring I have in front of me. Did the first REV10 LED ring. Just for the record, that is not as easy of an install I thought it was going to be. For some reason the driver did NOT want to go back into the housing and took about 30 minutes of extreme patience. Anyway... I hauled a battery in the house to test it out lol

And here's my parts accumulation.
I really can't dig too much into this until the weekend. I have a job interview on Friday I've been preparing for. So hard to leave all this stuff alone for this long.

I had to add an amp to this system, as well as an RGB controller and amplifier, so I decided to use a piece of 1/2" starboard to through-bolt to the right side of the storage. Worked great for what I had to install.
The boat is in mid-disaster right now.
A little further on getting everything mounted up. Haven't cleaned up the wiring yet.

I went with Oznium RGB LEDs which includes a couple 22" LED strips and the rest are single LED surface mounts for cupholders and speaker grills. These things worked great for the speakers because of the ultra thin tape conductor they use. The surface mount LED comes with a sticky back but I ended up using gel Super Glue to secure them.
Here's the port side LEDs lit up.

I opted to separate my tower lights to front and rear circuits. I don't plan to use them much, but if I do I'm going to be using the rear lights more than anything. I had the hardest time deciding where to put switches on the helm and what kind, because you can't really match the factory look of this generation Nautique. I opted to hide them under the steering wheel and did a quick fab of this bracket to put a couple switches in.
So there's where I'm at so far. I bought a new deep cycle battery, terminated everything at the batteries yesterday and added a Blue Seas battery switch.
I found a deal on someone selling a ProMariner ProSport 12 onboard charger so I bought it. It fits perfect mounted against the wall of the rear bench seat inside the middle compartment. I'm pretty excited to have this charger because I do a lot of floating and sometimes run into a never-ending fight of trying to keep batteries charged in the middle of summer.
Things remaining to complete:
- Install Fresh Air Exhaust
- Change impeller
- finish terminating LED wiring
- Install newly powdercoated and tinted windshield
- Install tower and terminate speaker/light wiring
- Clean up the mess I made
- Take the boat to a vinyl guy that will change out my blue pinstripes
- GET IT ON DA WATER!!!!
Unfortunately I am on my way to Salt Lake for training on the new job for the next 3 weeks. Hopefully when I get back I can wrap it up in a couple days. This project consumed a LOT more time than I thought it would, but I think it's going to pay off this summer.Last edited by grkero; 01-26-2014, 09:59 AM.

How'd you run the wire around the speaker grills to not show? I like that look and have existing LEDs throughout the boat, and would love to add that to the mix.
