    1989 ski nautique

Picked this up a couple of months ago and have been bringing her back to life. Should have the removable swim brackets finished up by this weekend and then I'll be ready to hit the water. Picked it up with perfect pass, shower and heater already installed.
The first two pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago after cleaning her up, and the third one is of when I brought it home.

Looks nice now! What did you do; wetsand, polish, wax? What materials did you use?

Looks great. You will love that boat. I have owned a 1984 SN2001 for 18 years and just recently upgraded to a 2008 SN206. Currently my '84 is parked in a heated garage (I am in Minnesota) and I find myself just sitting in it from time to time reminiscing. Congrats!!!

Started off by wetsanding with 1000 grit and then 1500. I then used a heavy duty rubbing compound followed by 3m finesse-it II. Both the rubbing compound and finesse-it were applied with a variable speed buffer. I then finished with a good wash and waxing. The interior was in good shape when I got it, but I cleaned it with a good vinyl cleaner and then followed with a coat of 303.
