Official Watershed Innovation Press Release:
Merritt Island, FL (September 25, 2020) - Merritt Precision reveals its third 5-axis mill at its Merritt Island location. The new machine will increase milling capacity by 40%. This new capacity will help current customers get innovative product to market faster while allowing Merritt Precision to partner with new customers in the future.

“Our team believes in creativity over capital so we can stay focused on what matters most to our customers. This includes using the best robots and materials to mill plugs that support the most sophisticated designs and meet the demands of multiple pulls in tooling,” stated Doug Keehn, Merritt Precision’s Vice President/General Manager. “We have an incredible team, and it was remarkable seeing their efforts integrating our third mill in our existing space without losing a day of production.”

The integration of Merritt Precision’s third 5-axis mill is part of a multi-step plan to expand the business. Last week, Merritt Precision launched a brand new website to connect with new customers and share its growth story.

Sean Marrero, President of Watershed Innovation (parent company of Merritt Precision) stated, “You have to be both right and fast to win in today’s market. This new capacity combined with Merritt’s experience and reputation of building strong relationships will unlock new possibilities for our customers going forward.”

Merritt Precision specializes in large envelope CNC machining that delivers superior plugs. Merritt Precision works as an autonomous, standalone business under Watershed providing the very best milled parts in a confidential environment for new and existing customers.

Marrero added, “Merritt Precision really does make dreams come true. I am proud that Watershed is helping Merritt grow its mission of making our customer’s visions a reality.”
