Old Dirty Cup Holders *NEW AGAIN*

I thought I might share the solution I have come up with for my 2003 SANTE 210 cup holders. These are discontinued and are VERY hard to find. I felt I could save mine for this boat re-do....and this is how it came out. Pics are pretty self explanatory.

Call me nuts...but these wipes are powerful! I use them on a ton of clean up projects......the crazy part of me is that I always wipe the product off SOON. Something in it makes me feel like it could break down plastics. I use the wipes....and then spray with glass cleaner and set to dry. YEP NUTS....I have never ruined anything....the product is just intense. I use GLOVES as well....now

Has anyone ever tried to re cover these pieces? My vinyl is ripped in the same spot as yours, only on one of my cup holders the vinyl is bubbled and starting to tear higher. Not sure how to stop/ fix it without making it look awful.

Thanks for the write up, I was actually looking at mine recently and trying to think of how I would tackle it.

I started to try and replace the leather......then 5 minutes into it....decided I was going to do more damage. I had the tears in the cup holder, but one nick/slice higher up. The ones by the cup holders get covered up.....and if it creeps up even higher....you can get the LED light spacers and it covers about a 1/4 inch more. On my tear.....I opened it up a little more to get adhesive in it....then pressed and taped over night.

I wonder if the bubble could be repaired like a sea dek bubble. They use a thumb tack. Not sure if this helps.
