12v waterproof connectors for ballast pumps?

I'm trying to finish off my ballast project, and I am struggling to find some waterproof connectors to connect the aerator style pumps to my power source. I was thinking about "GM weather pack" style connectors, but then I have to buy a ~$250 crimping tool, I think? Are there other options for this type of connection? I don't mind soldering and then heat shrinking, but changing to a new pump would be a pain.

    thanks,
    Jack

How often are you really going to need to change pumps? Soldering/heat shrinking will give you a nice clean look IMO.

Did you try out the vdrive sacs yet or decide what you are going to do for reear ballast?

NAPA auto parts typically have these.

        Randall,
I haven't splashed the boat yet. I was trying like crazy for this weekned, but it looks like I won't make it. I tried to get the cover sorted out, and I didn't get my boat back until Sat. afternoon instead of Friday night, so lost about 5 hours of working time.

I've got some 16x16x40 vdrive sacks I'm trying out from a friend, and I also bought some 19 x 19 x 42 sacks from Fly hi. The latter sacks are their "oe" replacement sacks for a Supra or Moomba. They are too big, but they will probably fill the trunk better than the v drive ones. I already committed to the plumbing and pums for two bags, so that's why I went this route...

I was curious as to how well the vdrive sacs filled up the space. After more thought, I think 2 bags will be better back there as well, just not sure if I want custom or not. Is there only 2 valves per bag on the OE sacs?

Compromise use spade connectors and heat shrink those. Then all you have to do is cut the heatshrink, unplug the connectors, replug the connectors, reheat shrink

              Rick,
great idea, that's what I'm going to do!

Randall, I'll start another post about the sacks...
