    Transmission Repair for G23 Paragon

    Hello,

I purchased my 2021 G23 Paragon last year and it has been the boat of my dreams, about 500 hours on the boat. But last time we were out it went into neutral and wouldn't shift into forward or reverse. Had the local Nautique dealer look at it and said I need a new transmission.

I went through it and the electronic shift solenoids are working, fluid looks great, no metal in the transmission fluid. So not sure if it broke the pump or input shaft or something else. At this point I am getting ready to pull the transmission and v-drive but not really excited to pay full price to Nautique and PCM for a transmission so wanted to check if any of you have any recommendations of where to send it to get it rebuilt?

I contacted Velvet Drive to see if they have a factory rebuild service for my 72LX-V transmission but havent heard back. I have been trying to search online but am not sure who the trusted transmission shops are here in the USA. Would love any feedback or recommendations.

    Thanks!!!

Friend of mine had a similar issue recently with his 2008 SANTE... the hub on the damper plate that connects the engine crankshaft to the transmission input shaft sheared causing the transmission to be disconnected essentially.

Not saying that is your issue, but could be and a much cheaper fix than a new transmission. We tested transmission oil pressure and found it to be 0, which gave us better understanding the input shaft wasn't turning. Not sure if a similar test can be done on your transmission, but worth a look.
