Getting ready to head out for our first trip this year and we were getting loaded up. Friend of mine puts waters and gatorades in the Transom step cooler of our boat as he has done before many times. Goes to load ice in it and the entire cooler disconnects from the hull and falls down into the hull. This baffled me as it was only held on with an adhesive in the first place.
I plan to remount it but is there anything I should do differently mounting wise vs just using a HD marine adhesive? My observation is that this area may have some flex and adding support brackets underneath may not be the best idea?
Any thoughts from someone or know someone this has happened to? We love this cooler section as it is convenient when we are out floating to grab a drink from.
