    Throttle Control Problems

    2015 Super Air Nautique 210

Original issues: 1) when engine was running and throttle put into gear, the engine only revved and did not move, and 2) then the engine wouldn’t start. Both of these showed as if the boat was in neutral. We replaced the Throttle Control Assemby.

first challenge: the new assembly doesn’t fit (well). The old assembly dad the wires coming out the bottom and the new one has wires on the top. We adjusted the fiberglass a bit and made some adjustments and it now fits. Is this a known issue, or did we get the wrong part?

second challenge: once we get underway, we receive an error above ~2k RPMs and the boat goes into Crawl mode. Error code: DTC 2126: FPP1-2 higher than expected. (SPN 91 FMI 16). Sounds like the throttle unit send two feeds for data and one of them is diverging too far from the other and it’s throwing this fault.
Is it possible that there a problem with the new unit? We have tried resetting the control module by disconnecting battery, double checking all connections, etc. any other suggestions???

Sounds like you don’t have the correct part.

You can send the old one to Livorsi and they will rebuild it.

https://livorsi.com/product-service/ I bet if you have the old & new unit's part numbers, Livorsi can confirm if you bought the correct replacement

https://nautiqueparts.com/throttle-b...200-2015-2018/ - (not sure if this is correct for your boat or not)

ASSEMBLY FITS ski and Sport 200 2015 to 2018 with Electronic drive by wire for shift and throttle control IMPORTANT!!!

Some early models of the throttle base had the wires coming out the bottom of unit. This unit is the replacement of older unit. SLIGHT modifications of fiberglass are needed to mount this replacement. Click Here for Throttle Template instructions Click Here for Full size Throttle template

I had to file the opening to fit the new control on my 2016 200V. Past that mine was a plug and play deal. Boat operated great after the replacement.

Out of stock from Nautique Parts which should tell you something about the issues with these. It would appear Miami Nautique has them in stock although at nearly a $200 bump in price once you add in the additional tax.
