It was auction listed with a starting bid of ~ $995 and a $2000 buy it now. Sold via the Buy It Now about 6 to 8 hours after the listing.
Faria boxes come up every now and then on ebay but I have never seen one sell for this much. More typically they seem to sell closer to $400-$500.
Previous common thinking was that dash problems were associated with the box failing but TechBeer has figured out that it's typically the gauges themselves that fail. I hope whomever dropped the $2k gets what they need.
