Good day all - getting cooler here in the PNW. Turned on the heated seat and the heater; both buttons respond on the screen but neither of these actually turn on. This is our club boat so I don't know much about it's workings vs if it was my own. They were working a month ago. I tried pushing all the breakers under the bow, no change. Thanks for any hellp!

No responses here or over on BOS. I peaked under the driver's seat today and saw no wires - so my conclusion is I was mixing this boat up with our other heated one and this one has no heated seat. It has vents for a floor heater at driver's feet but I'll bet there is no heater installed either.

I can tell you what I know about both but you'll need to check your boat to see what's installed. In general, most boats with a traditional dash (non-Link system boat) will come with all the buttons installed. The indicators will light up as all the indicator is telling you is that there's power to the switch and that it's on. At least that's what I've experienced.
Heater
This one should be fairly easy to check. On a fresh water cooled boat with an open cooling system, open the engine cover and look for a hose on the top of the block that runs to the front of the boat. If you have it, you have a heater. If you don't, you don't have the heater option. On a closed cooling system boat you're going to look for a hose coming off the closed loop system running to the front of the boat. The system operates similar to that in a car. Hot water from the engine travels to a heat exchanger typically located in front of the drives feet under the cash behind a kick panel. A fan blows over the heat exchanger and pushes the warm air through ducting. You can typically hear that fan when the system is activated. If you see the hoses from the engine compartment going to the dash area, you have a heater and it's time to diagnose the issue with the fan.
Heated seats
This one too should be pretty easy to detect if you know what you're looking for. The heated seats are once again very similar to the automotive version, if not the same. They use a heating pad just like a car to heat the seat. Here, you're looking for an electrical connector going to the seat. On a boat without heated seats you'll typically have the connector going to a location like the driver's seat but it won't be plugged in to anything as there is no heating element in the cushion.
