Heater pull out tube replacement and gas shock

I am trying to replace the pull out heater tubes on a 2016 G23. It looks like they got stepped on at some point and tore through the coating and rusted. 2 questions.

1)how much of a PITA is it to replace the tubes. It looks like there is a housing that comes off so I'm hoping my little T Rex arms can reach in there and replace them.

2)what size tubes come stock? Nautique Parts has 3 and 4 inch tubing. I measured and it looked like 3.5 LOL. Thanks in advance.

One other thing. Anyone know the part number on Nautique parts for the gas shock on an engine hatch for the same boat? The shock says ML29-40 but I can't seem to find the match online.

I think you can contact liftsupportsdepot.com and find a Stabilus shock that is 29” long and rated at 40 lbs. you can probably pop one of old ones off and verify the minimum and extended lengths, match the ball socket end connectors.
