No power 99 Ski Nautique (GT-40)

TLDR: no power at all when I push the ignition switch. No accessories, lights etc work. Turn of the key does nothing, either in the first position (no fuel pumps priming, no beeps of perfect pass etc, and obviously doesn’t start the engine.

I bought this boat last year with the full intention to restore it to its full glory - 1999 Ski Nautique, GT-40.

After a bit of an extended adventure replacing the manifolds and risers I got it back into the water last week.

Everything was working great, strong start, great idle, great power (new acme 422 this season).

I was experiencing something wierd though- at first it was a sudden loss of power (like the throttle was being reduced significantly then increased), while decelerating. It was very intermittent, but increased as I was on the water.

Eventually I was experiencing this on some accelerations, cruising etc.

Finally, when I turned the boat off it went full dead - like up top. Disconnecting the battery, and/or just straight waiting seemed to rectify it, until this afternoon when it went dead and has yet to show any life.

I’ve checked the breakers, behind the dash for loose connections. Pulled the battery, checked the charge and charged it (it’s was good). The relays are both new as of last season.

I’m pretty stumped. It’s acting as if the battery isn’t even connected.

My mechanic is coming by tomorrow AM, but if anyone has any insight I’d be grateful- really prefer to being skiing tomorrow than fixing!

If anyone has a similar problem - the issue was a loose/dirry solenoid between the battery and the main breakers. Pulled it, cleaned up the contacts and re-attached it and it fired back up no problem. Probably also the culprit of the power loss as things were heating up.
