    2007 210 / PCM 330 Red Light & Power Loss

I've got a new to me this season 2007 Nautique 210 with a PCM 330 - ~900 hours and I think it's been decently well maintained. I've been a regular consumer of info on this forum all summer as I've worked through a number of smaller issues but I've hit a wall on an issue I'm troubleshooting - and hoping someone has run into it before or can advise on where to look next. The issue presents as power loss and the red engine light on the dash coming on. When it happens, the engine will generally maintain RPM but lose the ability to accelerate further or push rpms beyond that point. Unloaded with just me driving, this generally doesn't happen unless it's WOT throttle and not until we're nearing top speed. However, with ballast loaded or even 4 passengers, this can happen almost immediacy trying to get up to speed when surfing or doing tow sports. Sometimes it eventually gets up to speed and sometimes we have to drop ballast or ditch a passenger. When the red light comes on, I do feel a vibration that I don't think is otherwise there. Once the red light comes on, if I back off the throttle for about 20-30 seconds, the light goes off and power comes back (until the light inevitably comes on again).

The engine temp never gets over about 165/170 and oil pressure looks good. I've tested fuel pressure at the rail and it holds at 54-56 even after power loss and the light comes on. I've replaced spark plugs, plug wires, both fuel filters, and distributor cap & rotor. I've also dumped the FCC a few times (I do think there was water in there but not 100% sure), and have cleaned the flame arrestor.

I'm looking for tips on what to check next. The dealership is about 90 miles away and I'd have to take the boat off the water, etc. - plus when I buy old toys, I do so with the intent to learn, maintain and repair them - so I don't mind digging in and if I need to pickup a code scanner, etc. then perhaps that's my what's next -

    Thoughts?

First place to start is the transmission fluid. Usually the red light in dash will pop when the fluid is low and it goes into protect mode.

Thanks, I have not checked transmission fluid yet, that'll be next on the list.

I drove out and checked transmission fluid last night - it was right at the full line and color looked good. While I was out there, I took another look at the prop (good condition) to check what it was, which I hadn't done yet - just hadn't thought about it. It's a 645 which I believe is the factory prop for the 2007 210. I noticed other posts with people citing issues with extra weight and that prop so I went ahead and ordered a 1579. I also ordered the diacom software and cable - I'd imagine the prop will relieve some of the symptoms and hopefully the diacom software will help me find the actual culprit once I have that up and running.

Any other suggestions on what to chase?
