    Paddlewheel 2011 Nautique sport 200V

    Hello,

I need to replace the paddlewheel only. I am familiar with the location under the boat, but is there an in cabin access point so I don't have to take the boat off the lift for replacement? Thanks for any help. Pictures/videos welcome :-)

Yes, most AirMar transducers are mounted in a sleeve that's mounted into the hull. There is a retaining ring that unscrews from the inside and then the sensor will slide out of the sleeve. There is an o-ring on the sensor to seal out water. Look at where it is on the bottom of the boat relative to other reference points such as the shaft exiting the hull. Then go to the inside of the boat in that location and try to find it. It'll say "AirMar" on the top of it. Unplug the wiring connector, loosen the retaining ring, and pull it out.

Thank you so much, I was able to locate this inside the boat! Now the other issue is I have a Deutsch connection (DTM06-6s) and I can't find a replacement for the Transducer with paddlewheel with this connection. Nautique parts has the part with wires but no Deutsch connection. Any ideas on that?

You should be able to either remove and reuse the plug on your current setup or buy and install a new one. Lots of videos on YouTube.

I've always wanted to invest in the tools to make the connectors but it seems this all goes away once I have a solution figured out. The easiest way forward would be to cut the connector off your current transducer and solder it onto the new one. Another option would be to buy a pigtail from Scamazon something like these.....,

The other thing I'm somewhat puzzled with is you state you want to replace the paddlewheel only. Have you looked into a repair kit like one of these....

Good call on the soldering and shrink wrap!
