    DTC 1312 / 302, new coils, plugs, wires - then threw DTC 1315 / 305 - any ideas?

We have a 2019 Nautique 200 with the 6.0 liter ZR4, guessing the boat / motor has less than 200 hours on it. While skiing yesterday, the engine threw a code DTC 1312 (Cylinder 2 misfire detected) + DTC 302 (Cylinder 2 emissions / catalyst damaging misfire).

We guessed this might be a bad coil / plug, so we installed new coils, plugs, and plug wires for all EIGHT cylinders.

Testing afterward, the boat ran awesome, but after about three test runs out of the hole, it threw the exact same two DTC codes, but this time for cylinder 5.

Now I suppose the brand new coil on cylinder 5 "could" be bad, but those seem like long odds to me.

We were having tons and tons and tons of issues with engine code problems two years ago (about 15 trips to the local Nautique dealer here in Austin), emails and calls with PCM, and after basically begging, they finally installed a new ECU and wiring harnessd at that time.

I'm not super familiar with these new motors, but with individual coils, I don't think there would be a distributor like an old V8, so "something" has to be telling the coils / plugs when to fire? It just seems to me that the real problem has to be upstream from the coils, but I'm not sure where to go next?

The local Nautique dealer in Austin is horrible, and I don't want to spend thousands of dollars there having them just throw parts at it, and then hope one of them solves the problem. I'd go talk to them, they'd just tell me to bring it in. I'd call PCM, but they aren't helpful, they will just tell me to take it to the dealer (see above).

I'm hoping someone here has some ideas on what the problem might be. I'm working with the dealer I bought the boat from (Pacific Nautiques in Auburn, Washington - an AMAZING dealer btw, old school customer service - huge shout out to Rob for those that know him), but trying to solve this via text isn't the easiest thing.

Welcome any ideas folks might have. We love the boat, but our experience with PCM has been just so, so bad, I can't see us buying another boat with one of their motors. We have a Supra surf boat, same year, but with an Indmar motor with no issues (maybe we have just been lucky?). Pretty frustrating...

Anyway, appreciate any ideas folks might have, thank you for your time, understanding, and feedback, hope everyone is enjoying the summer season on the water.

Can you switch the #5 coil with another one and see if the fault moves?
