    OK - what's on your 2025 spring maintaince / readiness list?

    Here's mine:

    - deep scrub all upholstery; treat with 303
    - bimini scrub and waterproofing treatment
    - hull polish touch up in a few areas
    - teak swim step refinish
    - transmission fluid change
    - engine oil change
    - serpentine belt replacement
    - several grease pumps to rudder fitting
    - replace expired fire extinguisher
    - bilge sludge spray out at the quarter wash

    Still in process
    - new raw water impeller
    - replace one trailer wheel seal
    - flush trailer brake fluid
    - replace broken ballast tank gauge
    - touch up trailer chips
    - deep clean boat carpet

    The upholstery scrub and treatment is by far my least favorite job.

    I put it away in pretty good shape, but:
    • Install some new skins from C&S (done over the winter)
    • 2 new batteries and battery boxes (in progress)
    • Install freshly-refurbed prop
    • Hull wax job
    • Make side skirts
    • Rudder grease (good call!)
    • New gas strut for glove box cover
    • Polish tower speaker cans
    • Move everything from the garage back into the boat

      This is only my second year with the boat, last year's list was quite long... I think I'm almost to the point of just regular maintenance.

      Aside from pulling it out and making sure it starts up:
      • Re-install Batteries.
      • Change oil.
      • Repair bow lights (replace bulbs and springs that hold bulbs in place).
      • Replace tower light.
      • 303 fabric guard Bimini and Boat Covers.
      • Repack rudder shaft. (Had to replace steering cable last year, which was a huge PIA.)
      • Attempt to replace (or repair) fuel gauge.
      • Replace ballast tank pump (last one, replaced other 2 last year)
      • Apply fresh coat of wax.
      • Replace/Repair engine bay side panels.
      • Replace trailer bunks - new bunks and carpet.
      • Touch up trailer paint for now, whole trailer needs paint at some point.
      • Lastly, at the end of this season, time to order and install new skins.

        I spent 8hrs last Saturday deep scrubbing the vinyl. For the life of me I couldn't totally clear some of the mildew stains we took this winter when the dehum died and went unnoticed/neglected for a few weeks. Tried Spray 9, Seabrite Mold & Mildew, uncut white vinegar, microfiber towels, stiff-bristles, harsh-language, the works - looks like I'll have to rely on denial...

        in addition:
        * teak swim-platform wash/sand/oil
        * fiberglass wipe-down
        * vacuumed all carpets (new appreciation for Dyson cordless vac)
        * had the fluids changed w/ de-wint service
        * replace/tighten fender/lock/wingnuts fastening mounted upholstery panels
        * clean/replace engine/ballast divider panels
        * installed a hang-bar in the on-shore gear locker

        todos:
        * find leak in bilge!!! (**PRIORITY**)
        * clean ick out of bilge - lake full of early-season nasties ATM
        * finish cutout & apply anti-slip on gunwales
        * misc hardware here & there
        * replace shot gas-struts for glove-box
        * replace failed backflow preventer downstream of glove-box drain (locker/bow bags are overflowing into glove-box!?!?)
        * going to experiment with some fender-washers on the locker-latch to see if I can get it to catch rim and not lift w/ full locker bag
        * source correct 7-pin EU round to 5-pin flat trailer wiring adapter
        * trailer step carpet replacement
        * look into perfect-pass update - need to figure out what is in there now and what I need to make it work

        keep an eye on:
        * batteries - probably both due for replacement, will definitely replace one and try to get on alternating cycle
        * wormdrive hatch elevator - sounding pretty gnarly
        * ballast impeller - replaced last season, newfound appreciation for speed/effectiveness of freshie

          I did the deep clean in the fall so for me it's pretty much put the gear and battery in the boat and launch.

          Still debating on replacing the throttle base for the infamous, non-functioning neutral lock button failure. This is the one where the lock out button is electronic (what could possible go wrong here, right) when depressed does nothing. I rarely if ever use this feature and haven't since owning fuel injected boats but I can see how it would be useful for increasing RPM while filling tanks while stationary. That and the OCD in me is screaming at me to fix it. At $600 it's just a real hard sell for me.

            I took a quick 2025 maiden voyage on Wednesday. I had the new strut (and a back-up) sitting on the kitchen counter, but do you think I remembered to swap it out? LOL. It's now in my truck so I can't forget it this weekend.

              If it helps, these struts work on my 206's glove box. Price is right - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

                These are the struts I use for mine: https://www.liftsupportsdepot.com/li...-lift-support/

                Mine only uses one. I upsized in strength from the original because that lid is effing heavy!

                  Great thread start SilentSeven!
                  MN Ryan, $600 is not worth a blue light function that never gets used, but I get the OCD part.
                  We had to replace the TBA on our '16 because of the increasing, and frustrating non-start issues.
                  It was nice to see a functioning blue light though, that never got used, lol.

                    The day I winterized I was under a time crunch so I couldn't get to everything on my list. And now this spring I'm busy with finishing my basement so we'll see when I get to my list.
                    So this spring I'll need to:
                    - Wash the boat (oops, felt so bad putting away a little dirty)
                    - Scrub and treat all upholstery
                    - Vacuum carpet again
                    - Teak swim deck clean and refinish
                    - Grease rudder (good call out from others)
                    - Double check fire extinguisher date (good call)
                    - Test bilge pump (I like to do this every spring)
                    - Reattach trailer inside fender cover (fell off coming home from last trip of the year)
                    - New registration sticker came over the winter

                    Additional items
                    - I think one of my trailer bearings is going. I've never done this before so that'll be a learning experience.
                    - I'd also like to take a look at my heater. In the 2 years having the boat I've not needed it before until an evening last summer coming across the lake at dusk and it didn't blow any hot air.
                    - I'd like to get a new prop but we'll see if I can hold out another year on the current one. They're just so expensive.
                    - Probably something else I'm forgetting.
