    Exhaust Manifold Replacement

I have a 1970 16' Mustang with a Holman and Moody 302. It has log style Aluminum Manifolds that are leaking at the end caps. On the top of them they embossed as "interceptor". I guess being 36 years old they have a right to leak. However, it is nearly impossible to get the bolts out without breaking them, and the gaskets are very complex. Does anybody have any suggests where I can get "new" ones or how to rebuild these.
I can supply or post pictures if that helps.
Thanks any help is greatly appreciated.

PB Blaster is your best friend in this situation. I would give every bolt/stud a good spray of the blaster and do this morning and night for a few days. Then if the bolts are accessable to a hammer, I would give them a few quick strikes.....Dont beat the crap out of it, just enough to help break them loose of their rusty holds. They should back out, seeing as this is about all you can do besides applying heat, which I would not recomend on an alluminum manifold. Where is it leaking, if its the outside of the manifold a good machine shop should be able to weld any crack, or atleast magnaflux them and find all your leaks for you. As for the gasket you might have to consider making your own out of gasket material or bronze rtv silicone, I honestly dont know if you would find those gaskets seeing as they are marine and not automotive style....or is there a possibility that the automotive gaskets would fit?
