I’ve got a parts list you can have. Send me a private message.

I'm thinking about doing the sniper and ditching my whole gt40 setup. The sale right now looks like i could pick up the holley parts for right at $2k. The old parts have salvage value of at least half of that (intake, PCM, etc). I would have modern day fuel injection with closed loop fuel control, ability to tune engine upgrades, and the monitoring/logging abilities. I like that package too, it's so compact. I'd be able to access my valve covers and eliminate all the factory wiring and sensors (that stuff is old now).

I would be reluctant to $h!t-can the GT40 setup -- assuming that it is working properly. For the cost/benefit of a Sniper system, I doubt you would realize much improved engine performance at the RPMs in a marine application.

The GT40 produces 310 HP. If you are really serious about HP gains at usable RPM levels, you may want to consider a C.I. upgrade with a stroker -- new heads, cam, valve train, etc. The 351W block should be "roller-ready" so, you could do some nice improvements with valves and heads. However...much more cost thank the $2K Sniper.

ExactlY! I have a 408w I built for my Lightning. I keep eyeing up a Godzilla swap for the truck instead. it'd be great for the SAN though with a few different parts! We run heavy ballast these days and even with the plane assist and optimized prop, the motor struggles on anything but a perfectly straight line. showing it's age! lol

Rusty: You need to put some of that 408 experience into the Nautique! Pull the GT40 and stroke that bad-boy! It would be a fun project. If I lived a little closer to NOLA, I would come and give you a hand. Back in the day, I lived in Houston and did a lot of business in NOLA and the lower Mississippi -- but now I'm way out west.

they are originally 185s, but they've had a good bit of work and been opened up to match the intake flow/ports. Intake was cutup for a "stage 3" port job. It was a combo to get the most out of the gt40 tubular intake with a centrifugal SC.
