    SV211 Faria Gateway Replacement

I’ve gone through a bunch on the posts and I think I know the answer but I just wanted to confirm. I have a 2004 SV211 with a single line perfect pass display. Currently, the only gauge on my boat that works is the perfect pass. If I do the bypass kit, will my single line perfect pass still work or will I have to get the retrofit kit for it as well? It seems like some years will work and others won’t but I can’t quite figure out which ones are which.

Second question is in line with the first but might be silly. I’ve heard you might be able to pull the box, clean it and reinstall it. If I disconnect all the connectors from the box, will the boat still function and will my one gauge, the PP still work? The boat is at our cabin a couple hours away and if I get to fiddling with it I don’t want to lose out on one of the last weekends of the year.

    Thank you!

Sorry you are having the dreaded gateway issue... I believe the the single line perfect pass is separate, so it should work but I can remember back to when I had one - dang getting old.
I have heard of a few people that tried cleaning up the box somehow but not sure..
I am a Nautique guy all the way but they really failed in taking care of long time customers, to have parts to even buy, to replace a major item like this. The analog gauge kit is the most hideous and unacceptable (and expensive) fix... I was actually told to 'wire up an hour meter in the engine bay' to keep track of hours since mine stopped at 999.9... Nautique blames Faria for that and Faria blames Nautique. Faria says they could repair these gateways but Nautique won't allow them to work on them, even if the customer pays out of pocket... Dumb.
    Best of luck to you

I have a gateway box listed for sale, but its not cheap I have it listed for $2,350.00. It will let you keep all the original gauges though. NautiqueJeff tested it on his 226 he sold so it is a working Gateway.

If you want to go the bypass route I would order one now, they are still on backorder, and who knows when they are coming back.

It would be awesome to just get a replacement gateway but that’s a little steep for something that could go sideways anytime as well. I’m going to go the bypass route, just trying to figure out if the boat will run without the gateway installed for a bit a d if my PP will keep working.

I know its steep, but its the only one i have ever seen for sale in the 3 years I have owned my boat. When they did sell them on Nautique Parts they were $1,589.00. I have no issue keeping it in case mine craps out. I did disconnect the Pitot Tubes so I shouldn't have to worry about the water failure.

If you do get the bypass and want to sell your gauges let me know. I may be interested.
