Ok so I was dealing with multiple fuel leaks at the carb. I had a leak from the line where it enters the carb which I believe I have tightened now. The boat was sitting in storage and was used about a week ago. I came out to check on it and now I see a pool of fuel directly under the front of the carb on the manifold. I’m just a little frustrated as I paid to have it completely rebuilt less than a year ago. I thought maybe the gasket settled so I tightened down the 4 mounting bolts but fuel is still showing up there. Bringing it back to mechanic but I’m just wondering if this is on them or on me based on a fresh rebuild less than a year ago. I don’t know a lot about carbs to be honest but any fuel in that amount to me is not normal. Any feedback is appreciated.

Had the same issues on my Uncle's boat. I replaced the hard line, screen in there as I recall and crush washer. The carb leaked a year after rebuild. I got a new carb and hard line from Discount Inboard Marine.
The bowl gasket was leaking and I think the accelerator pump gasket too. Everyone says ethanol in the fuel. I think it is cheap gaskets. New carb set and installed. No leaks, runs great.

Looks like a float bowl gasket. Carbs leak occasionally…it’s what they do. Just replace the bowl gaskets. Order the blue removable ones by Holley. 4160 carby. Don’t over tighten. Holley specifies 25-30 inch pounds.

I had the same issue after a rebuild on a 1985. The accelerator pump housing screws were stripped. I was able to find bigger self tapping screws and got it tight, but it was very close. The aluminum gets weak after time so sometimes after a rebuild its tough to get things tight again. You can try new bowl gaskets and accel pump gasket. If it still leaks then a new bowl would be the answer, assuming the threads are still ok to tighten that in.
