Boat on lift temp is dropping below 32

I used my boat all last week hoping winter is over. It is sitting on a lift the lake temp is 48F the weather forecast predicts 25 deg for 4-5 hours tomorrow morning.
Should I drain the water from the engine ?
    Thanks Peter

I’m up in Canada and we deal with this in the fall. The best bet is just to warm the engine up this evening and let the boat float in the water tonight. A boat in the water is generally pretty safe if it’s just below freezing for one night. Up on a lift it cools off much quicker. I would not worry about draining anything.

In Minnesota last year, it snowed a week while my G was on the lift. I put the cover on it, a heat lamp and a little space heater in there and it worked to keep it from freezing for a week.

We do the same here in Michigan. What we'll typically do is lower the boat on the lift so the hull is in the water but the boat is still being held securely by the bunks on the lift.
