Looking for help. I have a possible defective Delphi 16237009 ECM on a 2003 GM PCM 5.7 engine for which I need the J1 and J2 connector pinouts. It is a EFI3 ECM and I have only been able to find the pinouts for EFI4's. The EMC is not providing signals to the throttle body injectors or the fuel pump ground returns. Either the EMC has failed or possibly there is an open power or ground in the harnesses feeding J1 and J2 thus the need for pinouts.

Have you tried pages 124 & 125 of the following link? (5-8 & 5-9)
http://www.skidim.com/images/L510004.pdf
Are you sure your 2003 engine is a MEFI 3? My 2002 PCM Excalibur is a MEFI 4.
Is your engine a Pleasure Craft or Crusader? If it is some other brand you might have better luck on a different board. All Nautiques came with PCM engines.

The engine is a 2003 PCM and according to a link - pirate4x4.com the emcis a mefi 3
From Pirate:
All MEFI ECM's have a part number like this that can be used to determine the "series" or "generation" that the MEFI system is, according to the following table:

The ones listed on Pirate that are exclusive to mercruiser are 16234539 and 16236999,
Thanks again for the link. I'll post again if I find open/ground connections to the emc causing the problems.

Bummer !!! ECM has power and ground on all necessary inputs and wiring from ECM to fuel pump and injectors is good but is not outputting signals necessary to turn on fuel pump or injectors so it appears EMC is DOA. Now looking for marine dealer which has diagnostic equipment capable of testing EMC to confirm its death before spending $$$ to replace.

falcon_o I used this guy in California for testing mine. https://obd2allinone.com/contact.asp. Shoot him an email and then send it priority mail. He will get back to you at weird hours because he does it out of his house, but he is reliable. An old dealer I used claimed I had a bad PCM when it turned out, they used the wrong MAP sensor.
