Having issues getting boat started this season. Charged batteries and had a charger on all night and boat will crank over once then everything dies. Tried yesterday and same thing and that is why I had charger on all night. Yesterday I took a wire brush to the battery and cables just to clean them up. Batteries are about 3 years old and are just Exide marine batteries. Hoping it is more of a battery issue and nothing else. Any thoughts would be great.

It's the safety lanyard. This is what that era of boat would do if the lanyard was not connected or the switch is bad.

What was the final outcome? I'm having the same issue. I've replaced the Starter Relay, Starter, Safety Neutral Switch and Battery Cables, checked all Grounds and swapped the two Relays (ECC and Fuel Pump) and all I get is a slight crank movement then loose power to my Gauges. Could this be caused by a faulty Kill Switch? I've seen similar posts regarding this same situation but there's never a follow up with what the fix was. Appreciate any feedback.
