2003 SANTE Starboard Wake Washed Out

    Hey everyone,

First time poster here... Just bought my first Nautique (2003 SANTE) and am having some issues getting the wake to balance out. When the ballasts are full, the port side wake has a nice ramp to it, but I cannot get the starboard side wake to ramp up. It is washed out regardless of how I load the boat. It feels like there is too much weight on the port side of the boat, but I am only using the factory ballasts to ride so I am not sure why I can't get the wake to balance.

Any thoughts other than adding additional weight to the starboard side?

If you're talking about the wakeboard wake, it sounds like a textbook case of needing more weight on the starboard side.

Agreed, those hulls are very sensitive to weight distribution. A little extra on that side should clear it up.

to begin with, you will want to verify that the pump is filling both sides full to overflow. all it takes to make that happen is one side to fill up and the other not ...

If you just bought the boat, you might want to search for any hidden weight. I know I have lead in all sorts of otherwise useless space to get some extra weight in the boat.

As pointed out, these hulls are very sensitive to weight distribution. I find that with factory ballast full and just a driver in the boat mine is balanced (depending on what the driver weighs). If I add a spotter, we have to be careful where they sit, normally they have to sit centered in the boat. Add more people, and you have to move people around until the boat sits balanced. Looking for hidden weight is good advice also.
Sometimes I wind up emptying one of the rear tanks a little bit to even the boat out.
