Twice my bilge light was flashing and no water coming out . I turned the batteries off and reset it and all is good . Did it again last weekend . Any ideas ?

My bilge light flashes when the engine is off. That's to let you know that it is on to sense water if it is there. The pump isn't actually running. One flash every 15 seconds or so.Please do not PM me directly asking for advice on how to repair your boat. While I would love to help everyone, I simply do not have time to respond to all of the inquiries. Please post your questions on the forum, so that all of our members have a chance to answer.

Lucky I had this issue and posted it earlier. We were out surfing and I noticed that it was flashing. I thought it was the auto bilge pump deal like Jeff is saying. However our hull filled with water somehow and it never did pump out. we ended up getting water in our fuel. They changed out the oil twice and couldn't figure out why the water came in or how it got in the engine. Now when the bilge starts flashing we always stop, turn off the boat completely, switch the batteries and start over. Just don't want that to happen again.Comment
