I searched around a little bit for this but could not find a direct answer. I was not getting any water to the engine, filter was dry. So I removed my water pump to find a bare impeller, no flaps left. And as I removed the "to engine" hose, some bits of impeller fell into my hands. My question is....Where did the rest of the impeller go? Do I need to try to find all of these peices?

check your line that goes back toward the trans cooler and also check inside of the trans cooler. They usually flow backwards

The rest of it may very well have been sucked into the circulating pump and on into the engine. You need to get the pieces out or you will vey likely have plugged water passages and experience overheating.

Darn, that is not what I wanted to hear. Oh well, guess it will be fun. Let me tell you guys just how it happened in case you see some other potential problems.
I dropped the boat in, started up, parked truck, idled out of the marina. Just after the no wake zone I check to make sure the engine is up to operating temp, it is 160. Upon accelerating I hear that the exhaust sounds a pitch deeper and louder. I turn around and see a little bit of blue smoke, not white steam as usual. I stop the boat, open hatch and look around, no problems that I saw. So I go ahead and accelerate again only to watch the temp guage climb just over the 175 mark. I kill the engine and check the water filter which needed some cleaning anyway, after reinstalling the water filter and starting back up no water is pumped into the filter, then I knew it was the impeller. I idled back to the marina because we were the only boat out and there was a serious current/ wind combo that we could not paddle against. I kept a close watch on the temp guages and it never got over 208.

208 shouldn't cause any additional problems.
Just take of your waterpump, hose and thermostat and take all impeller pieces. It isn't a huge work, just hope that every piece got stuck at the thermostat. Remember how the waterpump was connected, you don't wanna put it back the wrong way.
Did you screw the water filter back on tight enough and with the o-ring?230 with ZR6 running on propane

Great, thanks Laptom. After removing the water pump, I can not see how it could be put back on incorrectly, mine is aysemtrical, it would not even bolt on the other way. And about the o-ring, I know all about those, my dealer, actually sent my boat back to me after winterization without one and my boat was running a little warm, but luckily I picked up on it right away and got one back in. Thanks for the advice everyone, hopefully this case will be solved shortly, I still have another month of riding left.

I was told by my CC dealer (Adirondack Marine) to quickly give some RPMs right after engine starts on 1st start time in Spring. You need to pull water quickly into the pump/impeller to lubricate it. The rotations at idle while you parked and idled out left the impeller spinning dry without lubrication. This happens especially with fuel injected engines that start easily without need to give throttle/rpms.
