'95 GT-40 fails to start between sets

My '95 SN w/GT-40 is giving me trouble. It runs great but, when we beach the boat for a couple of hours to rest between wakeboarding sets it has a tendency to turn over but not start. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Bo

What do you have to do to eventually get it restarted?

Are you running the stereo while you have it beached?

Guessing that you're just running the battery down
    while beached.

I don't believe it's a battery issue. I even installed a Marine Priority Start battery protector to eliminate that possibility. The starter is engaging strongly, just no fire. It will eventually start, but it's getting very unpredictable.

You may be having a sensor problem.Sounds like the temp.sensor for the ecm. Also check the fuel pump to see if it is working when you first turn the switch on.

First you must determine what is not happening when when you start the engine no fuel or no spark. Easiest thing to check is fuel presssure and you will need a fuel pressure gauge that reads up to 50 psi or greater, you can get one from auto parts places like autozone or napa. hook up the gauge and run the boat like you do normally and when problem occurs check to see if you have fuel pressure when you try to start the boat. if you do have fuel pressure then you may want to look at the Ignition system for no fire.

Sounds like an electrical issue to me.......maybe in the kill switch........I'll check with some sources and see if maybe it could be linked to that year model........
