If you pumps are running every 30secs and you have that much water in you hull, then I suspect you have a leak. While my pump runs about every minute as part of its normal programming, I rarely have any water to pump out.

If you have a heater in your 211, your heater core could have frozen and cracked.

Just to update on this, I replaced both pumps and two new batteries. Everything is working fine now, the duration and frequency of the bilge pumping running "checks" has been reduced to normal timing, and the checks duration is not as long as it previously was.

I have been having trouble with my batteries running down. Boat is a 2005 SV211 moored to a buoy on the lake in front of cabin.

The rear bilge pump cycles on and off pretty frequently.

Thought maybe I was getting too much water in the boat through the prop shaft stuffing, rudder stuffing or other?

Finally got down to some troubleshooting.

Similar to the OP, my rear bilge pump cycles at about 23 second intervals, while the forward bilge pump cycles at ~ 147 seconds.

Turns out, Rule has two models of this pump.

The 25SA is supposed to cycle at 180 seconds.

The 25SA-6WC is supposed to cycle at 20 seconds.

            I have one of each.

            Mystery solved.

I am probably going to replace with pumps + switches instead of these auto sensing ones. If I leave the boat for a few days I don't want them to run the batteries down.
