Just joined the site because i recently bought a 2003 super air nautique and heard this site has a lot of useful information! I took the boat out today and while driving at a speed of around 20 to 28 the carpet around my feet started to feel wet. The mpg gauge is not working as well. Has anyone heard of or experienced this with their air nautique? There is water coming up from under the carpet around the driver seat and feet area. I opened the storage locker and there is some water in there but not a lot. Any information would be great! Thank you!

There is a heater button next to the ballast controls. The knob just spins and I believe the heater is not functional. Is there an easy way to find the hose or core without taking the seats and everything out? thanks for the fast response.

The warm water at your feet is 99% due to a leaking heater core. Very common issue, and fairly easy to replace. Check with HeaterCraft (site sponsor) and they'll sell you the part at 30% off. You can pull the kick panel by the driver's feet by removing the four screws. That will let you see the heater core and verify that it is leaking. Have fun getting the screws back in the holes though! Please do not PM me directly asking for advice on how to repair your boat. While I would love to help everyone, I simply do not have time to respond to all of the inquiries. Please post your questions on the forum, so that all of our members have a chance to answer.

How would i bypass the heater core? I am pretty new to the air nautiques. The bilge in the back of the boat has some water around it but it will drain the water when I turn it on. I also noticed that water was coming through some of the screws in the back of the boat where the black rub rail is. Is this normal? I was planning on taking the screws out and adding some water proof adhesive. Any thoughts on this. Thanks for all the help!

To bypass the heater, you can buy a 3' section of heater hose and disconnect the supply and return hoses connected to the block and use the new section of hose to basically bypass the cracked heater core.
Your PCM engine manual should have a water flow schematic that illustrates which hoses are which.
Another option is to install shutoff valves inlined on the two heater lines so you can just shut them off. I did this on my last nautique, I used to have a picture of the valves, I'll see if I can find it.

Did not read the water was warm, but it was noted that the speedometer is inoperable.
I had a boat fitted with black flexible tubing that connects to the back of the speedometer. It leaked water under the dash. Maybe that tubing is loose or cracked. Not sure if your boat has this tube to the speedo.
Just a hunch, I have been told "If you don't know what you are talking about you really should refrain from posting incorrect data correcting somebody that owns this boat and knows..." So take it for what it is .. a guess.

The answers are all above: If you have a keypad to start your boat the pitot's end at the gateway box in the trunk, so it would not be the speedo leaking, if you have a keyed ignition then it could be as a signature speedo probably feeds water to the gauge.
If it's the heater core, get a new one or remove both hoses from the core and splice them together using a copper sleeve or similar with hose clamps,
If your heater button is spinning it's shot, get a new one.
Come to think of it, if you have a dial heater control you probably have a signature, so check the speedo and the heater core for your leaks.
Good Luck
