    engine smoking

Today I took the boat (2005 SAN 210) to the lake to run it for the first time this year. Problems start with the hours showing the boat has zero hours on it. Don't know why this is when it should read 214 hours. The second problem is the temp gauge also read zero and then after a couple of minutes of the engine running the engine started smoking. Any thoughts on these issues?

has the impeller been changed recently? crappy old burning impeller could create 'smokey' engine? when you turn the ignition on does the gauge needle move at all?

Took it in to the dealer and all they had to do to fix the hour reading was unplug the gauge and plug it back in. As for the engine smoking they concluded that it was a vapor lock in the water lines.
